UK's Driving School Industry
Driving schools are important to every country in the world today. This is because more and more people own a car and driving in motorways and highways. The driving school industry is quite a competitive industry in most major countries. Presently, it has become a multimillion-pound sector in the United Kingdom today.
However, with the increase of the number of drivers and vehicles on the roads today, incidents of road mishaps have gone up to an alarming rate as well. That is why UK's driving school industry has implemented newer and safer regulations to make sure the roads are as safe as possible. As of 2009, the UK's driving school industry will administer a profiling of student drivers through a psychometric system. This system will determine the personality of the pupils and the appropriate training to be given to them to make sure they stay on the road. To make it simple, quick and easy for student drivers, the industry has designed a Web-based system. The test was not designed to pass or fail a student; instead, it will give instructors the ability to provide trainings that are perfectly suitable to each driver.
This action has been taken in response to the nerve-racking statistics of new drivers under 25 years old and has had some kind of accident within six months of acquiring a licence. The chief executive of UK's association for driving schools has said that poor attitude, behaviour and ability to respond to unpleasant situations on the road have caused more of the accidents that happened within the last 10 years. He also points out that it is the driver's ability to respond positively to adversities on the road that is crucial for safe driving.
