Health and Safety on the Road
More and more people own a car; and roads are becoming quite crowded nowadays. Add to it the worsening global warming, people become easily frustrated with traffic, thus become irritable and impolite. As a result, people sometimes fail to think straight and make the right decisions on how to properly react to situations and other people on the road. This is when drivers start pulling nasty manoeuvres, which can then lead to pissing off other drivers, starting a row or worse a road rage. A road rage is the worst that can happen in traffic as it can pose a significant threat to people's health and safety on the road.
Generally, people's irritability can come from high levels of stress or tension, which can become chronic and lead to poor health. What an individual can do to avoid a road rage is to stay as calm as possible. One should perform breathing exercises, which will divert one's attention from the traffic going on outside and eventually, brush away negative thoughts and feelings.
Music can help soothe nerves and senses, so a pissed off driver should listen to slow tunes when in a traffic jam. Or if commuting, one can listen to songs from his mp3 player to reduce frustration and drew one's attention somewhere else. By doing other things without taking one's attention from the road like playing a game of counting same-coloured vehicles on the road, you can reduce the tension you are currently feeling.
Moreover, time management is still the key to being not in a hurry all the time. Organising one's schedule can leave you feeling more relaxed and confident that you will get to your destination on time.
